Terms and Conditions

Last updated:

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the service offered by CvUp at cvup.pro. By using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any of them, please do not use the service.

1. Service Description

CvUp is an online service that allows users to upload their curriculum vitae (CV) and receive an automated analysis with improvement suggestions, as well as an optimized version of the document tailored to the stated position and target job market.

The service comprises two stages: (a) a free, preliminary CV analysis that provides a general diagnostic; and (b) a full CV optimization, available through a one-time payment of USD 3.99. There is no subscription model, recurring charge, or deferred payment plan associated with the service.

CvUp operates without requiring users to create an account or register with permanent login credentials.

2. Payment Terms

Access to the full CV optimization requires a one-time payment of USD 3.99 (or its equivalent in the applicable local currency, as determined by the payment processor). This payment is non-recurring and does not create any subscription or future payment obligation.

Payments are processed through Stripe, Inc., a PCI DSS certified payment service provider. CvUp does not store or access your credit or debit card data at any point.

The price may be subject to applicable local taxes depending on the user's jurisdiction, which will be disclosed during the payment process where required.

3. Refund Policy

The service delivers a downloadable digital product immediately, so refunds are assessed against objective, verifiable conditions rather than subjective satisfaction with the result.

You are entitled to a refund when any of the following objectively verifiable situations occurs: a technical failure that prevents completing the process or the download; a corrupted, empty, or unreadable file; a document generated in a language other than the one requested; non-delivery of the document; or missing sections that were present in your original CV.

Refunds do not apply for subjective reasons, such as simply not liking the style or content of the result (that is what the editor is for, letting you adjust the document), a change of mind, having already downloaded or used the document, or abusive or late requests.

To request a refund, email legal@cvup.pro within 14 calendar days of payment, using the subject line «Refund Request» and a brief description of the situation.

4. Data Handling and Privacy

The CV you upload and the documents generated as a result are stored on secure servers for a maximum of 30 calendar days. After that period, they are automatically and irreversibly deleted.

CvUp does not use the content of your CV or any personal data provided to train, adjust, or improve artificial intelligence models, whether our own or third-party. Your information is processed exclusively for the purpose of delivering the requested service.

For a full description of how we handle your data, please review our Privacy Policy at cvup.pro/privacidad.

5. Acceptable Use

By using CvUp you agree not to use it for any of the following purposes:

Uploading content that infringes copyright, image rights, or any other third-party rights.

Attempting to access, modify, or interfere with CvUp's systems, infrastructure, or data, or those of other users.

Using the service to generate CVs with false, misleading, or fraudulent information intended to deceive employers or other parties.

Using automated tools, scripts, or bots to interact with the service in a bulk or unauthorized manner.

CvUp reserves the right to suspend access to the service without prior notice in the event of misuse or violation of these terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The original content of your CV is and remains your exclusive property. By uploading your CV to CvUp, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, and temporary license to process the document for the sole purpose of delivering the requested service.

The optimized document generated by CvUp constitutes a derivative output of our systems working on your content. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use, download, and distribute that optimized document.

The texts, logos, designs, interfaces, algorithms, and other elements that make up the CvUp platform are the property of CvUp or are licensed to it. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or use is strictly prohibited.

7. No Guarantee of Outcomes

CvUp provides a CV analysis and optimization service based on editorial and technical criteria. However, it does not guarantee, either expressly or implicitly, that the use of the optimized CV will result in obtaining job interviews, employment offers, hires, or any other specific professional outcome.

The job market depends on multiple external factors beyond CvUp's control, including employer decisions, market conditions, position requirements, and candidate qualifications.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CvUp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use the service.

CvUp's total liability to a user for any claim arising from the use of the service shall in no event exceed the amount paid by that user to access the service (USD 3.99).

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory invoked (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if CvUp has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Modifications to the Service and Terms

CvUp reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice, provided that this does not affect rights already acquired by users who have made a payment.

We may also update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Changes will take effect upon publication on this page. The updated version will be identified by the «Last updated» date at the beginning of the document.

Continued use of the service after publication of changes will be deemed acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions or from the use of the service shall first be addressed amicably between the parties through the email legal@cvup.pro.

These terms do not limit or exclude the mandatory consumer-protection rights granted to you by the laws of your country of residence, which shall prevail wherever they apply.
