How to Quantify Achievements on Your CV (Even If You Think You Have No Numbers)
June 29, 2026 · 5 min read
Recruiters remember results, not task lists. Quantifying your achievements gives your CV credibility and sets you apart.
What you can measure
Think in time, money, volume, quality, or people: sales, costs, users, tickets resolved, deadlines cut, or teams coordinated. Almost every role has metrics.
The achievement + impact formula
Write what you did and what changed because of it. "Automated a report and saved the team 5 hours a week" says far more than "made reports."
If you don't have exact figures
Use reasonable estimates or relative magnitudes ("cut it in half," "for a team of 8"). What matters is showing the effect of your work.
